We use biodegradable bags

It all begins with an idea.

You know those grocery store bags that everyone likes to keep underneath the kitchen sink or tucked in between the refrigerator and the wall (thats where my mom use to keep them). Well those bags are what a lot of pet owners use to collect and dispose of their dogs poop. We found a better way to dispose of pet waste! In our journey to be less wasteful, we have discovered that we can get the same bags and use them for the same things, however these bags are biodegradable. What does that mean exactly? Well it just means that it will break down overtime, where the grocery store bags that mom use to collect do not. Im sure those same bags my mom had shoved so neatly on the side of the fridge are still blowing in the wind somewhere getting stuck in someones tree (I have one in my tree as I type this). So if you are like us and want to start your journey to waste less and recycle more see our previous post about how we started composting.

The Doo Doo Crew Begins Composting

It all begins with an idea.

Q/A: What is composting you ask? According to google (everyones goto handheld dictionary) “Composting is the natural process of recycling organic matter”.

Q/A: What can you compost? You can compost anything that comes from either a plant or an animal. So all natural things can be composted. Manmade things cannot be composted.

Q/A: Why compost? Composting reduces landfill waste. It reuses the natural things that we would normally throw in the trash and then that trash gets hauled off to the landfills.

Q/A: Where can you start composting? If you are in the Omaha metro Area you can check out Hillside Solutions. They are a true hidden gem in our community.
